Camera Butter Dealer Terms
Effective date: Feb 12,2025
These Dealer Terms (“Terms”) describe how Camera Butter supplies approved retail partners. They’re intended to keep our partner program straightforward, ensure consistent product information and presentation across channels, and support a healthy retail experience.
1) Eligibility & approval
- Dealer accounts are approved at Camera Butter’s discretion.
- We may request additional information (store/website, sales channels, location, customer base, etc.).
- We may limit the number of dealers in a region or category based on demand and support capacity.
2) Ordering & payment
- Orders are placed via email after approval.
- Payment terms: First order prepaid, Net 15 upon approval.
- Minimum opening order: [optional, or “none”].
3) Wholesale pricing
- Wholesale pricing is provided to approved partners after acceptance via a dealer price list.
- Dealers are responsible for all taxes, duties, tariffs and fees applicable to their orders.
- Payment processing fees: Invoices and prices do not include wire transfer, PayPal, credit card, or other payment processing fees. Any such fees are the dealer’s responsibility.
4) Fulfillment, shipping & delivery
- Orders ship from British Columbia, Canada
- Typical handling time: 1–3 business days (may vary during high volume periods).
- Shipping costs are paid by the dealer.
- Risk of loss passes to the dealer upon carrier acceptance
- Insurance: We ship orders with transit insurance where available. If a dealer arranges shipping or uses its own carrier account, the dealer is responsible for ensuring adequate insurance coverage.
5) Returns, defects & warranty
- Defective items: Contact us within 30 days of receipt with order number
- We may repair/replace/credit at our discretion after confirming the issue.
- Change-of-mind / overstock returns: Not accepted unless approved in writing in advance.
- Customer support: Dealers may direct customers to Camera Butter support or may handle support themselves if preferable.
5.1 Customer issues & defective goods (how we handle it)
- First step: Dealers may either (a) deal with the customer directly, or (b) direct the customer to Camera Butter at info (at) CameraButter (dot) com.
- What we’ll need: Order date, product, a short description of the issue, and photos where helpful.
- Resolution: After confirming the issue, Camera Butter may, at its discretion, replace, or issue a credit to dealer (for dealer replacement) for the affected item.
6) Sales channels
Some channels (including marketplaces) may require written approval to help ensure accurate listings, consistent customer support, and a brand-safe purchase experience.
- Dealers are responsible for ensuring their listings are accurate and up to date.
- Camera Butter may request corrections where a listing is inaccurate, confusing, or brand-damaging.
- Listing updates: From time to time we may update product names, descriptions, compatibility notes, images, or specs. When we provide updated listing materials, dealers agree to update their listings within a reasonable time.
7) Brand presentation
- Use accurate product names and avoid misleading claims.
- Use Camera Butter-provided images/descriptions when possible.
- Do not represent yourself as Camera Butter or imply you are the manufacturer.
8) Advertised Price (MAP) Policy
Camera Butter maintains a Minimum Advertised Price (“MAP”) Policy to support retail partners and reduce confusing price advertising across channels. This policy applies to advertised prices (publicly displayed prices), not private quotes or in-cart pricing.
8.1 What counts as “advertised”
- Prices displayed on websites, product listings, and marketplace listings
- Paid ads, shopping feeds, discount banners, promo emails that show a price
- Any promotion where a below-MAP price is publicly visible
8.2 What MAP does not cover
- In-cart prices (where permitted)
- In-store prices not publicly advertised
- Private quotes to an individual customer
8.3 MAP levels
Current MAP levels are provided in our dealer product list and may be updated from time to time.
8.4 Bundles, coupon codes & promotions
- Advertising a below-MAP price using coupon codes, “% off” promotions, strike-through pricing, or publicly visible discounting may be considered a MAP issue.
- If you’d like to run a promotion, please contact us first—we can often coordinate dealer-friendly promo windows.
8.5 Policy administration
This MAP Policy is a unilateral policy of Camera Butter. Camera Butter does not seek, and will not accept, any agreement or assurance from a reseller regarding resale prices. Each reseller remains free to determine its own resale prices.
9) Account status & updates
- Camera Butter may update these Terms from time to time by posting an updated version, with a revised effective date.
- We may suspend or end dealer access if needed (including for repeated policy issue, channel conflicts, extended inactivity, failure to maintain reasonable stock availability for actively listed items, or conduct that harms the brand or customer experience).
