YouTube Review Program

Want to review Camera Butter gear on YouTube? We’re looking for creators who can publish evergreen, linkable reviews that help people make a real buying decision.

This program is currently YouTube-only (no Instagram/TikTok at this time) so we can keep it simple, measurable, and fair.

What you get

You review an approved product on your YouTube channel.
You keep the product.
Once your review is published and verified, we refund the product price plus standard shipping (up to $15 USD). Taxes, duties, and tariffs are not refundable.

How it works (step by step)

Apply using the form below (channel link + what you want to review).
We approve (or suggest a better fit). We only approve a limited number of reviews at a time, and we prioritize reviews for products we’re actively promoting.
Tier 1 (first review): We send you an invoice / payment link for the approved product, using standard shipping.
You publish the review by the deadline and submit the link.
We verify the video meets the requirements below.
We refund the product price plus standard shipping (up to $15 USD). Refunds are processed once per week.
Tier 2 (trusted reviewers): After you successfully complete your first review, we can offer future review products at no cost (at our discretion, and based on product availability and review priorities).

Please don’t place an order until you’ve been approved. We can’t retroactively convert normal purchases into a review program order.

What we want to see in the review

We don’t require a positive review — we require a real one that helps buyers understand whether the product is right for them.

Minimum requirements

Real-world use: show the product installed and used (not just an unboxing on a desk).
Context: mention the camera model(s) and what you’re filming (FPV, moto, MTB, skiing, hiking, etc.).
The decision driver: explain why someone would choose this product vs common alternatives (optics, durability, usability, reliability, support, company, etc.).
Evidence: include at least one of: before/after, real clips showing the effect, or a clear demonstration of what changes and why.
Link + clarity: clearly name the product and include a clickable product link in the YouTube description.

We do not need any type of editorial review or approval for your review. If you do have issues or questions, we really hope that you will contact us before your review to give us a chance to answer your questions or rectify any issues.

YouTube requirements

The video must be public.
The description must include a clickable link to the Camera Butter page for that product.
The video must remain public for at least 12 months.
You must include a short disclosure (for example: “This product was refunded after the review was completed.”).
Format: Must be a standard YouTube video (not a Short).
Length: No strict minimum — but it needs to be long enough to meet the requirements above (real use, context, and a clear recommendation/reasoning).

Approval guidelines

To keep the program sustainable, we approve creators who are actively publishing and who can realistically deliver an evergreen review.

You’ve posted at least one video in the last 60 days.
Your channel/topic is relevant to action cameras, videography, FPV, drones, or outdoor filming.
You can demonstrate the product in use.
Product priority: we prioritize reviews for newer, higher-demand, or actively promoted products.
Regional focus: we prioritize regions where Camera Butter is easiest to buy right now. We’re expanding availability over time, and this helps us make the strongest use of limited review spots.
Past collaboration helps: if we’ve worked together before (or you already use our gear), it’s often easier to approve.
Limits: we cap the number of approved reviewers per product.

Short terms (please read)

You must publish by the deadline we provide.
If the review isn’t published by the deadline (or doesn’t meet the minimum requirements), the order remains a normal purchase and no refund is issued.
We refund the product price plus standard shipping (up to $15 USD). Taxes, duties, and tariffs are not refundable.
